An Post Sean Kelly rider Mark Christian is currently riding the Volta Ao Algarve. The Commenwealth Games Bronze Medalisit finished 128th on the opening stage which covered 151km. The stage was won by Gianni Meersman from Lotto Belisol with  Greg van Avermaet BMC racing taking second. The race has a strong field with Sky riders Hagen,Wiggins,Froome,Porte all riding. The race continues tomorow (thu) with a tought 181.5km from Faro and finished on Monday with an Individual time trial.
