World Champion 6th in Qatar

World Road Race Champion Mark Cavendish has finished 6th overall in the Tour of Qatar. In what was a good week for the Team Sky rider picking up two stage wins and time in the points jersey also finishing the Tour 2nd overall. The final stage looked like it would have been the Manx missiles untill he came together with two others riders just 200metres from the finish. Cavendish was helped to his feet by his teammate and friend Bernie Eisel and bravely got on a spare bike and finished the stage. Neo pro Frenchman Arnaud Demare took victory and the first of his Pro career at just 20 years old. British rider Adam Blythe (BMC) finished the tour in 10th overall.
